The McCarters | Est. 3/25/23

April 25, 2023

We couldn’t have imagined kicking off our 2023 wedding season with anyone besides Alexis and Logan! From the classic color palette used, to the moving love that these two have for each other, everything about this wedding is why we do what we do!

If we could embody the McCarter wedding in one word, it would be timeless! When we sat down with Alexis and Logan during their planning process, they made it clear to us that they wanted an elegant feeling and aesthetic to carry throughout the entirety of their wedding day. The couple decided to host their ceremony inside our newly renovated Carriage House and the details truly shined in this space. The use of flower petals and lit candles to line the aisle romanticized Alexis’s walk down the aisle and it was easy to see how captivated everyone was by this bridal beauty!

Tradition and minimalism were two things that the couple valued when planning their special day. The McCarters performed a unity sand ceremony to signify their coming together as one and to represent their loving faith. This was one of many ways that this wedding embodied simplified beauty. The color palette of white, black, gray, and pops of emerald green played a crucial part in the overall elegance that this wedding portrayed.

Stylistic choices were handled very carefully by the couple, as they wanted their wedding to feel very cohesive! We continue to come back to the word timeless when describing this wedding and that is precisely how we would describe the bride's dress! Alexis found her “say yes” moment at White Lace & Promises in a ravishing strapless gown. With classic button detailing down the backside of the dress and a deep v neckline, Alexis truly had a bridal glow! She also took to the use of pearl embellishments within her bridal look. Her gorgeous statement veil was pearl studded along the edges and she topped her accessories off with chunky pearl earrings and shoes to match! For her reception, however, Alexis took to a more comfortable option with all white Golden Goose sneakers.

Alexis spent a lot of time designing her floral arrangements with Melissa Timm Designs, specifically her bouquet! Details were top of mind, as she wanted her flowers to stand out in comparison to other popular, white bouquets and it surely did! This stunning floral arrangement had pops of black with the use of white anemones, to coordinate with her satin, black bridesmaids dresses. Needless to say, Alexis truly slayed her wedding day attire– we even had a stylish groom!

Logan was decked out in a Men’s Wearhouse light gray suit with an emerald green tie that surely tied back to the floral arrangements used throughout their wedding– very clever, Mr. McCarter! Alongside his sleek tux and tie selections, Logan accessorized with snazzy Pronto Oumo cufflinks, a Fossil watch, and Joseph Abboud Plain Toe Oxford shoes. Whoever said that wedding style was only for the bride, clearly needs to take notes from this groom!

To say that the McCarters hosted the most exhilarating reception would be an understatement! Their guests were treated with a zesty Mexican style, taco bar for their meal and what is a taco bar if not the gift that keeps on giving! The food was not the only source of entertainment for the evening, as the couple provided the best tunes through Stephen Goff Entertainment and kept the party going all night long! Not to mention one of the most humorous and fun-loving garter tosses we have seen in quite some time!

While hitting on all the fun aspects of a wedding reception, the couple added touches of sentiment through their maid of honor and best man speeches, as well as their private, final dance as the newlywed couple! The McCarters opted for a more cozy route when hearing their speeches. They decided to take the use of one of our loveseats to the side-patio of our Southern Pavilion and allowed their guest to step away from the dining tables to hear the kind words of their close friends and family! Wrapping up their evening with a private, final dance was the cherry on top of the perfect wedding. Logan and Alexis danced their way into the start of their marriage and this is a tradition that we love to see our Castleton Couples partake in!

Something that we believe in wholeheartedly at Castleton Farms is that it truly takes a village to put on a wedding as lovely as the McCarter’s! We would like to thank both the Hicks and McCarter families for being such a joy to plan and celebrate the coming together of this lovely couple! We’d also like to thank all of the incredibly talented vendors who put this beautiful plan into action and Alyssa Rachelle Photography for capturing every love-filled moment!

Cheers to you Mr. and Mrs. McCarter! We wish you the happiest life together and thank you for giving us such a beautiful wedding to remember for many years to come!

With Love,
